What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll work under the direction of a licensed respiratory therapist and assist with a variety of tasks that support patient care and respiratory services. You will:
- Respond to the needs of patients, families, and staff with service excellence.
- Maintain and distribute oxygen cylinders and respiratory equipment across inpatient units, the emergency department, and clinics.
- Assemble, clean, disinfect, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment.
- Transport equipment safely using proper infection control techniques.
- Assist respiratory therapists with procedures such as bronchoscopy setup, non-emergent intubations/extubations, and sleep study documentation.
- Perform smoking cessation counseling per department policy.
- Track and catalog respiratory care equipment and assist with preventative maintenance.
- Deliver home care supplies such as oxygen tanks/compressors.
- Use Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and ordering platforms to complete tasks efficiently.
