Storeroom Clerk, Food Svcs

UPMC Chautauqua is hiring a Storeroom Clerk to join our Food Services team!

This position is full-time, Monday- Friday 5am-1:30pm. Occasional weekend and holiday coverage required. 

Previous experience is highly preferred. 

Purpose: Purchase, receive, and store all food and supply orders in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.

Responsibilities:
 

• Store received product in assigned location in an organized manner, to include proper stock rotation and the dating of each product.
• Inspect and store all deliveries according to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and department procedures. Communicate any food safety or product quality concerns immediately to supervisor.
• Use and maintains equipment according to manufacturer and department guidelines; follow all safety procedures.
• Consistently adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
• Maintain a professional working relationship and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times with vendors, delivery drivers, and coworkers.
• Receive shipments from vendors; document receipt of each item as identified by the order guide. Identify discrepancies and communicate to supervisor.
• Receive shipments from trucking companies, UPS, and special delivery distributors according to established procedures.
• Monitor and record temperatures according to operation guidelines.
• Complete accurate and timely inventories; develop and place orders according to operation schedules and procedures.
• Maintain inspection-readiness of all storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers. Collect and remove trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures. Adhere to recycling guidelines.
