About the Role
As a Respiratory Therapist at UPMC Cole, you’ll work with cutting-edge technology and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Whether you're a seasoned Sr. RRT or just starting your journey as a CRT, we’ll place you in the role that best matches your qualifications and experience.
You’ll provide life-saving respiratory therapy services across a variety of patient populations and clinical settings—including the OR, ED, Cath Lab, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer advanced therapies such as Nitric Oxide (NO) and Tracheal Gas Insufflation (TGI)
- Perform diagnostic procedures including ABGs, pulmonary function tests, EEGs, EKGs, stress testing, and Holter monitoring
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments to optimize outcomes
- Assist in transporting ventilated patients and respond to emergency code situations
- Serve as a mentor and resource for students and fellow staff
- Take on leadership duties as needed, including charge responsibilities
