Sr. Professional Staff Nurse (Night Program) Resource Pool (Critical Care)

UPMC Mercy is hiring a full-time Sr. Professional Staff Nurse to join its Resource Pool department and rotate through our Critical Care units.

Resource Pool nurses receive a 10% differential in their hourly rate for floating and schedule flexibility. 

The Night Program is expected to work strictly overnight shifts. There is an additional premium pay differential for those in the Night Program. Candidates must have at least 6 months of nursing experience to qualify, but one year of critical care experience is strongly preferred. Candidates may be required to complete any necessary orientation during regular business hours. 

Title and salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience. Salary as shown is for a Senior level, which requires 2 years of nursing experience. 

The Resource Department is a vital unit that specializes in filling staffing needs. Within this department, we have both acute care and critical care nurses along with PCTs and Care Attendants who ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care possible. The Professional Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning.
