UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Casual Senior Professional Staff Nurse II to join our Acute Care/Trauma Stepdown Unit (5E)—a dynamic 23 bed unit specializing in acute care surgery and trauma. Our team cares for patients recovering from procedures such as bowel obstruction treatment, appendectomies, and gallbladder surgeries, supported by trauma trained nurses, a mobility focused recovery model, and a strong care partner approach.
This role is ideal for an experienced nurse ready to make a meaningful impact. You’ll lead high quality patient care, collaborate across disciplines, guide and mentor team members, and help drive process improvements that elevate outcomes for patients and families. Casual employees are required to work at least 36 hours per 6 weeks, with 24 of those hours being off-shift/weekend. Scheduling requirements include one holiday per year.
