Thoracic ICU:
- Team: Highly specialized and supportive nurses
- Procedures: Post Op Thoracic procedures, VATs (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), Esophagectomies, Lung resections, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Lumbar drains, Swan-Ganz catheters, CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), Vasoactive drips
- Additional Responsibilities: Receiving overflow from other ICUs during high census
- Work Environment: Fast-paced unit
