UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Improvement Specialist, Provider Performance position in its Quality Improvement department, located in downtown Pittsburgh at the U.S. Steel Tower. This is a full time position working Monday through Friday daylight hours and is a hybrid position consisting of working from home and in office 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Build valuable relationships with internal and external multidisciplinary teams utilizing clinical expertise, strong analytical skills, and incorporating clinical operations experience and quality improvement methodologies to achieve quality outcomes.
- Serve as a quality liaison to external stakeholders participating in value-based quality incentive programs.
- Provide clinical expertise in interpreting Value Based Program measures, performance trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Plan and facilitate routine meetings, learning collaboratives, and performance review discussions with hospital and specialty programs leadership and clinical teams.
- Foster collaborative relationships, promote transparency, trust, and shared accountability for performance.
- Assist with program documentation, deliverables, and compliance with program requirements deliverable due dates.
- Utilization of most up to date industry standards such as current clinical guidelines, state and federal quality requirements, and evolving value-based care models.
- Ability to lead a quality improvement multidisciplinary workgroup.
