What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Staff Nurse, OP position at UPMC?
Hours: 8am - 4:30 pm, occasional closing shifts that may extend past 4:30 pm
Travel: This position will require travel to other Children's Hospital satellite locations in both Erie, PA and Greater Pittsburgh areas.
This nurse will work with our dedicated allergy provider in Erie. This nurse will collaborate with our provider and the main allergy division at CHP to initiate Allergen Immunotherapy (AIT), Venom Immunotherapy (VIT), and Oral Immunotherapy (OIT). This nurse will be responsible for communicating with the allergy division regarding supplies, medication orders, serum orders, and scheduling patients for AIT, VIT, and OIT. This nurse will also assist with continuing the biologics administration program in Erie, including communicating with CHP Main regarding obtaining medications, educating parents/guardians with home administration of injections, and scheduling of patients.
