The exceptional care provided in this unit contributes to UPMC Hamot’s certification as a Comprehensive Cardiac Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. CVICU also holds the distinction as a Gold Level Beacon Award of Excellence recipient, representing not only excellence in patient care but also an incredible work environment.

- Cardiac Surgery: CABG, MVR, AVR, TVR, TAVR
- Ischemic Strokes
- Hemorrhagic Strokes (without intervention)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced, caring, compassionate nurse with a passion for learning who excels in critical thinking.
This position is full-time, rotating day and night shifts.
Title and Salary will be determined based upon education and experience.
Purpose: The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse who plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. They are accountable for setting care standards, managing patient care, and collaborating with healthcare teams. This role involves leadership, communication, and partnership with patients, families, and other providers to ensure optimal outcomes. The nurse also demonstrates a strong commitment to both the community and the nursing profession.
Responsibilities:
