- Must meet one of the following experience pathways:
- a) Two years of general healthcare experience and eligibility for the Patient Care Technician – Senior title, OR
- b) One year of qualifying experience and current enrollment in a PT, OT, or PA program with completion of at least one clinical rotation, OR
- c) One year of qualifying experience and completion of a bachelor’s degree in a health sciences field.
- Successful completion of the Patient Care Technician Specialist training class.
- Successful completion of eRecord training.
- Annual completion of a professional contribution, to be determined after hire.
- Nursing students who have completed at least one clinical rotation are preferred.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic experience—or current enrollment in an EMT/Paramedic program—is preferred.
- May require successful completion of the appropriate cardiac rhythm course based on organizational and unit guidelines.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA standards including didactic and skills demonstration).
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- Act 34 clearance required.
