What You’ll Do
As a UPMC Paramedic, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality emergency care in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing basic and advanced life support in pre-hospital and emergency settings
- Communicating effectively with Medical Command and interdisciplinary care teams
- Performing emergency assessments, diagnostics, and treatments
- Supporting the education and development of student paramedics
- Participating in community education and outreach initiatives
- Ensuring readiness through proper maintenance of equipment and vehicles
- Accurately documenting patient care while maintaining confidentiality
- Promoting safety, wellness, and professionalism for patients and colleagues
