UPMC Revenue Cycle is hiring an Operations Analyst III to join our team in Washington, PA. This role will work out of UPMC Washington Hospital, with some occasional work from home.
This role will work under the general direction of the Senior Director and will be responsible for the comprehensive analysis of data and evaluation of clients' business environments. This individual must possess a clear understanding of financial, clinical, and other information generated by numerous sources to identify opportunities to improve clinical and financial performance. Furthermore, the position requires the ability to articulate these opportunities to internal and external audiences, implement the solutions, and track and monitor progress. These functions must be done while also weighing the practical considerations and potential barriers that need to be overcome to successfully implement new programs and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assure quality of information technology solutions through business case and application-level testing; validates test results to initial business needs.
- Work with Information Services staff and the integration team to design, test and deploy appropriate hardware solutions, connectivity requirements and interface solutions, as appropriate.
- Work with management on all Access/Revenue Cycle initiatives such as meaningful use of the EHR, telemedicine projects etc.
- Protect the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information through physical and electronic measures
- Assist with the design and documentation of business/system functional requirements in formats to facilitate the development of deliverables such as Request for Proposals and/or Information, custom development efforts, project-based planning documents such as scope documents and client services communication.
- Work with ISD staff, clients and/or vendors to evaluate technology solutions including both packaged system solutions and custom development application and component development options.
- Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support and maintenance of eRecord production applications
- Manage Project Request for System Enhancements and Changes by working closely with the IT team.
- Evaluate and document client needs and all aspects of business processes both operational and financial, including current process analysis, and proposed revisions to optimize business processes.
- Provide service according to the expectations of policies/procedures and standards developed around the Access/Revenue Cycle for client departments.
