Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated Non-Certified Central Services Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards. Ideal candidates will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Adheres to department procedures for cleaning items
- Responsible for proper cleaning of equipment and supplies
- Assembles linen packs, procedure trays and instrument packs.
- Knowledgeable of proper technique and use of all sterilizers
- Maintains working knowledge of chemical and biological indicators
- Assists in evaluation of new equipment and products and Identifies and reports damages/malfunctioning equipment .
- Performs all other duties as assigned for which the employee is trained or qualified to perform
Shift: Rotating shifts 6:30AM-3PM, 9AM-5:30PM, 12PM-8:30PM. This position is rotating weekends and holiday with the shifts 6:30AM-3PM and 9AM-5:30PM. May work other days/shifts/areas based on hospital needs.
