Are you a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity? UPMC Kane is seeking an LPN to support our General Surgery Clinic, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with flexibility to align with the surgeon’s needs—no weekends or holidays required!
You’ll work closely with our surgeon across both Kane and Johnsonburg clinics, with approximately 50% travel between UPMC Kane sites. Prior office LPN experience and surgical nursing experience are preferred, making this an excellent opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 with a 2-year commitment.
In this role, there will be the opportunity to-
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care for patients and their families.
- Possess the ability to obtain and interpret information considering age specific needs.
- Conduct interviews with patient to answer questions related to healthcare problems and provide necessary counseling utilizing all resource persons and materials available.
- Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by attending physician and keep abreast of changes in requirements for immunization, flu vaccines, and allergy injections.
- Responsible for sterilization of office equipment and ordering of stock supplies and keep appropriate records of same.
- Perform laboratory duties assuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA.
- Identify and communicate educational needs of patients to their physician and teach in these areas upon his/her request.
- Assist physician in patient examination and perform specialized procedures.
- Maintain competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences with necessary documentation.
