GLPP Fredonia Internal Medicine is seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Lead to join our team and help oversee daily clinic operations. In this role, you’ll mentor LPNs and MAs, coordinate staffing and physician support, and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the practice. Prior medical office experience is preferred, as it will support success in managing responsibilities and fostering a collaborative environment. This full-time position will work Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm. Occasional travel to Cassadaga, Jamestown, Dunkirk and Silver Creek may be required. Eligible candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $7500.
Responsibilities:
- Train and mentors LPNs and MAs.
- Ensure proper staffing of the clinic at all times.
- Assign physicians to exam rooms/pods on a daily basis.
- Assign clinic staff to support the physicians and physician extenders on a daily basis.
- Order all clinical supplies.
- Represent the concerns/issues of the clinic flow staff.
- Work with the clinical manager on resolution of clinic issues.
- Provide input for LPN/MA performance review and conducts review in conjunction with the clinical coordinator.
- Provide input for hiring decisions.
- Assess patient's general condition and takes vital signs and weight.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM under the direction of an RN.
- Phlebotomy and endocrine testing as ordered.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed and prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Maintain Strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
