Join UPMC’s Grandview Family Practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse and become part of a collaborative primary care team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role offers the opportunity to support providers through comprehensive clinical and nursing responsibilities, including patient education, medication and vaccine administration, and in-office procedures. We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented LPN who values teamwork, service excellence, and continuous learning. Prior experience working in a primary care setting is preferred.
This full-time position will work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. No holidays, evenings or weekends are required. Eligible candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $7500.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing care for patients and their families.
- Possesses the ability to obtain and interpret information considering age specific needs.
- Conducts interviews with patient to answer questions related to healthcare problems and provides necessary counseling utilizing all resource persons and materials available.
- Administers medications and vaccines as ordered by attending physician and keeps abreast of changes in requirements for immunization, flu vaccines and allergy injections.
- Responsible for sterilization of office equipment and ordering of stock supplies and keeps appropriate records of same.
- Performs laboratory duties assuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA.
- Identifies and communicates educational needs of patients to their physician and does teaching in these areas upon his/her request.
- Assists physician in patient examination and performs specialized procedures.
- Maintains competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences with necessary documentation.
