Flex Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse - UPMC South Surgery Center

UPMC South Surgery Center is hiring a flex full-time Professional Staff Nurse to join their team in Bethel Park! The Professional Staff Nurse will circulate and scrub at our 4 OR surgery center. We primarily do sports orthopedic surgery. Candidate will cross train to scrubbing and will spend about 50% of their time in a scrub role. We are a small surgery center with a close-knit environment. Room for career ladder growth and projects within the surgery center. 

This position will work 4 9-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 4:00pm with one day off per week. Flex full time has ability to be flexed down based on staffing needs. Being flex down would look like four working days one week, and three working days the following. If we are unable to flex, you would work four days each week/pay. No weekends, no holiday, no call!

Practices solid communication skills, and is able to articulate and translate the patient's condition to other care providers and to negotiate and make recommendations for changes in patient care and unit practices. Patient documentation is comprehensive and promotes communication between caregivers. Incorporates national professional organization as well as business unit and health system's goals to improve patient safety, quality and satisfaction.Creates a caring and compassionate patient focused experience by building healing relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
