Facilities Manager Engineering & Maintenance
Location: UPMC Altoona Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
*May occasionally support evening, weekend, or Holiday calls when urgent issues arise
We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead hospital infrastructure, utilities, preventive maintenance, and capital projects while modeling service excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Lead facilities operations including electrical, medical gas, HVAC, water, steam, and utilities
- Manage preventive maintenance for ~7,500 assets
- Oversee construction and renovation projects totaling ~$2.5M annually
- Develop master maintenance schedules and a 5‑year capital repair plan
- Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations
- Review purchase orders, estimates, and capital expenditures
- Coordinate utility outages and safety training programs
- Lead, evaluate, and support facilities staff with a service‑first mindset
