UPMC Health Plan and WorkPartners are hiring a full-time Disability Management Coordinator for our Disability Management Team.
The vocational team is a small and close-knit team dedicated to helping others. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the employee disability management program. This is a remote position and will work Monday through Friday daylight hours.

Responsibilities:
- Functions as an internal consultant to the supervisory and management levels regarding best practices and continuous process improvement within the area of ADA. Provide ADA consultation services on non-occupational cases.
- Maintain the purchase and tracking of equipment and AT devices that are purchased through the accommodation program.
- Participate in the preparation and presentation of individual and group progress reports to management regarding status of employees with an accommodation.
- Perform job analysis and other supports to maintain the integrity of the task bask
- Coordinate all ongoing services, such as sign language interpreters or personal care attendants, needed to support an accommodation request.
- Provides assistance to employees who are eligible for STD and LTD benefits. Maintains current information on employee's condition and anticipated return-to-work date or temporary restrictions while recovering from a medical condition.
- Maintain an aggressive diary for management of vocational rehabilitation/placement activities and monitoring of staff members' progress in accommodation plan.
- Review and monitor all parking requests that are submitted through the accommodation program.
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Psychology, Human Services, Human Resource Management, Public Administration or other related field.
- Two years professional experience in disability administration or related required OR 1 year of professional experience in disability administration and approved certification required.
- Prior experience with ADA or vocational rehab is a bonus.
- Demonstrates professional and operational knowledge of State and Federal Disability, ADA, ADAAA, FMLA and other appropriate laws.
- Knowledge of UPMC Disability Income Protection Plan, ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Advanced organizational skills and analytical skills with the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and proven interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to coordinate and manage several tasks/duties at the same time.
- Able to weigh and evaluate several factors requiring judgment and problem solving.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of HRIS and timekeeping systems.
- Able to deal with all levels of employees within the organization.
- CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor), LPC (PA Licensed Professional Counselor), CDMS (Certified Disability Management Specialist), and/or CCM (Certified Case Manager) is a bonus.
