UPMC Health Plan is hiring a Digital Product Manager I to collaborate with creative, technical, and business partners to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the digital properties (portals, apps, and third-party tools) that make our insurance products understandable and usable for our members while meeting revenue and customer satisfaction goals. This role offers the chance to expand your skills, take on new challenges, and grow professionally. The team is based out of downtown Pittsburgh's US Steel Tower, and this role will work in a hybrid structure. This position follows a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, with some flexibility in hours.
Responsibilities:
- Apply KPIs, user research, customer input, business needs, and other sources to the prioritization of product features and an evolving product vision
- Provide input to marketing on the design marketing tests including messaging, creative, channel, design and targeting. When needed, create and deliver training on digital products
- Facilitate vendor evaluation and build vs. buy decisions. Manage products and features through the entire SDLC - unafraid to challenge whether a product/feature is still useful
- Strategically assist in the design and delivery of a holistic and consistent user experience across products. Help to ensure quality through UAT testing. Assist in the development of new/modified processes and procedures to support product strategy
- Maintain roadmaps for digital products. Create and deliver product-centered presentations to diverse audiences. Translate requirements for multiple audiences using Job Stories (JTBD) or other relevant formats. Ensure timely delivery of product goals
- Advocate for the end-user and identify opportunities to improve products to benefit the user experience. Stay current on digital trends and ensure that products remain relevant
- Take on project management and/or business analysis and/or SME responsibilities when those roles are not present. Understand needs of the user, stakeholders, and partners and how they relate to product(s) managed
- Distribute credit and block blame to/from team members. Assess key market factors, including competitive landscape, consumer insights and unmet customer needs as input to innovative products, services and programs to meet the unique needs of users and stakeholders
- Communicate statuses and shifting priorities to all relevant stakeholders, negotiate for desired outcomes. Ensure market/business need to product fit
