UPMC Somerset is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to join a dedicated team of life‑changers committed to delivering exceptional patient care. This full-time opportunity offers a dynamic schedule working Monday through Friday with rotating weekends across Daylight, Evening, and Night shifts.
As a Diagnostic Technologist, you will perform a wide range of imaging procedures independently, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This role requires sound judgment, technical expertise, and initiative while supporting accurate diagnoses in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
- Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol for procedures.
- Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols.
- Document patient history in electronic records as needed.
- Administer PO and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy.
- Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked to ISITE, and charges entered.
- Perform diagnostic radiography procedures independently using established protocols.
- Use complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, and documentation.
- Interact with patients and co-workers with care, respect, and teamwork.
- Perform technical procedures with independent judgment and appropriate radiation use.
- Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to ease their fears.
