This position offers a unique opportunity to support hospital operations and patient care coordination across all units.
As an Administrator on Duty, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth hospital operations by coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. You’ll provide interim leadership, support staff, and serve as a key resource during off-hours, holidays, and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Support:
Act as a representative of hospital administration, providing guidance and support to staff, patients, and families. Address and resolve operational issues and ensure safe staffing levels. - Patient Flow & Throughput:
Oversee patient placement and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure efficient use of hospital resources and timely transitions of care. - Crisis Management:
Respond to urgent situations with sound judgment and coordinate with appropriate departments such as Risk Management, Legal, and Patient Relations. - Mentorship & Development:
Serve as a mentor and preceptor to nursing staff and students. Promote continuous learning and professional development. - Evidence-Based Practice:
Utilize research and data to drive process improvements and enhance patient care outcomes.- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting
