Join Our Team as an Administrative Associate in Family Medicine!
Are you a detail-oriented and compassionate professional looking to make a difference in a family medicine setting? We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your organizational skills and friendly demeanor will help us provide exceptional care to our community.
Responsibilities:
· Greeting patients as they arrive for their appointment. Gathering patient demographic and insurance information and entering this into the electronic medical record system.
· Document management: fax-in-box, attaching documents into the patient record, scanning documents into the patient record, collecting of paper forms and distributing them to the medical providers.
· Answering phone calls: Patients, staff, and other Health care professionals. Transfer calls, take a message, and if it is a patient call document the call in the electronic medical record. Take off voice mail messages, check patient portal messages and send to the appropriate provider.
· Open all mail and address as needed.
· Collect copayments, cash and credit card payments, and balance payments at the end of the day.
· Check patients out after seeing the physician: Provide patients with a written visit summary, prescriptions, lab orders, x-ray orders, and referrals to specialists.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM, 8:15AM-4:45PM, & 8:30AM-5PM.
Traveling Requirements: Must be able to travel to all three offices located in Washington, Canonsburg, and Cecil PA.
