Housekeeper - UPMC Washington

Responsibilities:

• Cleans and sanitizes patients' rooms and bathrooms daily.
• Disposes of trash and replenishes supplies according to proper procedures.
• Moves furniture and other fixtures to dust and mop floor, resets furniture to present an attractive environment for patients and visitors.
• Washes walls behind sinks and commodes.
• Cleans and disinfects isolation rooms adhering to proper policy and procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects ancillary areas. (Utility and linen rooms, nurse's stations, lounges, etc.).
• Cleans and disinfects water fountains, sinks in hallways, telephones, and chair rails.
• Vacuums carpets and damp dusts furniture weekly in office areas.
• Empties trash and uses hand sweeper on carpets daily.
• Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:30-9:30PM. This opportunity will work cleaning any area of the hospital as needed. May be pulled to other shifts or days of the week if needed.
