UPMC Somerset is seeking a General Maintenance 2, Multi-craft. Maint. Tech. to join their team of life-changers!
This full-time position is regularly scheduled for third shift, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and includes every other weekend and rotating holidays. To support departmental operations and staffing needs, occasional schedule adjustments and overtime opportunities may arise.

Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision.
Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment
Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry/hardware, mechanical equipment and facilities systems.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
Maintain all written logs pertaining to shift responsibilities, i.e., med gas, equipment room rounds, etc.
Maintain water chemistry and testing procedures on equipment and building systems.
Operate and maintain a variety of building's direct digital control (DDC) systems.
Order materials as needed.
Perform all work following infection control procedures.
Perform minor carpentry and painting work.
Record work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.
Minor repairs and maintaining of plumbing fixtures, piping systems, plumbing leaks (soldering), defective pipes and clogged drains.
Performs general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas.
Performs required maintenance, repair and inspection of beds.
Ability to perform snow removal activities and work in adverse weather conditions.
Completion of a high school diploma/GED is required.
A total of 2 years of general maintenance-related work experience is required.
Healthcare experience is preferred.
Completion of a High School Vocational program or Trade School is preferred.
Military experience considered.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Drivers License required
