What You’ll Do:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you’ll provide life-saving care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. You’ll work under physician direction to deliver advanced respiratory therapies and support across a variety of settings — from the ICU to the OR, ED, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Administer advanced therapies such as Nitric Oxide and Tracheal Gas Insufflation
- Perform procedures including bronchoscopy, ABG lab troubleshooting, pulmonary function tests, EEG, EKG, stress testing, and more
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly
- Assist in transporting ventilated patients and respond to emergency code situations
- Serve as a mentor and resource for students and junior staff
- Step into a leadership role when needed, functioning as Lead Therapist in the absence of a supervisor

Education & Experience:
- Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required
- In lieu of an Associate’s degree, candidates must have 5–7 years of experience or hold NBRC certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of total respiratory care experience, including at least 1 year in critical care
- Must complete one approved department project annually, with the first project approved within 3 months of hire

Required Certifications:
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required
- In lieu of an Associate’s degree, candidates must have 5–7 years of experience or hold NBRC certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of total respiratory care experience, including at least 1 year in critical care
Must complete one approved department project annually, with the first project approved within 3 months of hire
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Therapists credentialed after July 1, 2002 must maintain NBRC certification
- Therapists credentialed after July 1, 2002 must maintain NBRC certification
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- If practicing in Maryland, a Maryland Respiratory Therapist license is required
- If practicing in Maryland, a Maryland Respiratory Therapist license is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (AHA-compliant, including didactic and skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire
