As the Team Lead for Environmental Services, you play a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will ensure that assigned areas, including patient rooms, public spaces, and equipment, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards set by the Environmental Services Department. In this leadership position, you will coordinate and guide Environmental Services Aides, fostering teamwork and efficiency to deliver exceptional service.
This role is essential to supporting patient care and overall hospital operations. You will work a consistent 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift, five days per week, including every other weekend and holidays, with an 8-hour shift length. - In the absence of the shift supervisor, temporarily act in a supervisory capacity; assume the responsibilities of the shift supervisor.
- Report problems and suggestions to the shift supervisor.
- Communicate with unit personnel and other departments regarding specific needs in order to complete assignments.
- Ensure that the daily work of all team members is assigned and that team members are working in assigned area.
- Ensure that sufficient supplies and equipment are available for subordinates. Report all problems to the shift supervisor.
- Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair.
- Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor.
- Comply with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures.
- HS Diploma/GED preferred
- 2 years relevant experience required
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 34
