Occupational Therapist (OT)

As an Occupational Therapist, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness or injury in the comfort of their own homes.
- Work with a team of physicians, Nurses, CNA's , PTs and STs to provide excellent patient care
- Assist physician in evaluation of patient function, deficits, fall risks and adaptive equipment needs
- Assess patient, establish therapy goals, document progress and modify therapy as needed
- Assist patient with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination
- Educate patients and family on established goals, exercises, safety and self-care
A few must-haves for Occupational Therapists:
- Graduate of an* accredited Occupational Therapy Program* and active OT license in Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience in a medical facility
- CPR certification and AHCA level 2 https://info.flclearinghouse.com
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, resourceful and compassionate
