The Technology Specialist is responsible for providing continuous effort to improve technical operations and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service to all internal/external customers.

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating system software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office products.

- Analyze and troubleshoot desktop LAN/WAN connectivity failures.
- Provide technical updates, both orally and in written form, to other desktop technicians, network technicians, Technology Services management, and Uplift leadership personnel.
- Create, update and resolve help desk service requests.
- Support special projects or assignments as necessary, and keep supervisor updated on the status of special projects.
- Communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
- Provide audio/visual support for Uplift events.
- Occasionally, on call after hours duties may be required.
Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)

Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Some college coursework is preferred.

Experience Requirements
-
At least one of the following preferred:
- One year of technology service experience related to desktop, laptop and/or peripheral service
- One year of experience with Windows
- One year of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop systems, laptop systems, PDAs, and other peripherals
- One year of experience in connectivity of desktop systems to LAN/WAN
- One year of experience in configuring IP/LAN printers and other network peripherals
- One year of experience providing technical updates to desktop technicians, network technicians, and management

Special Skills/Certifications
- Technical certifications including but not limited to A , Network , Security , Wireless, CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, and MCP, a plus but not required.

Physical Demands:
Work is conducted in an office environment and requires the ability to operate office equipment and technology devices. At times you will be expected to lift and/or carry technology equipment not to exceed 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
Travel to multiple sites within the Uplift Education district is required. Work is normally conducted in an office setting. Support campuses in the Dallas-Fort Worth region (preferably if you live nearby)
Starting Salary: $21.63/hr.
