Primary Purpose:
The IT Intern will gain hands-on experience and exposure to IT operations, including hardware, software, and infrastructure, while supporting the IT team in summer projects. programs and initiatives related to IT hardware, software, and infrastructure. This role is designed to provide practical learning opportunities, professional development, and mentorship in a real-world IT environment and will be based out of the Uplift CMO Dallas office and/or the IT Warehouse and/or campus locations as directed by the IT lead. This internship is intended to provide educational and professional development experiences and is not intended to replace or displace regular employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and use the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time, as well as moving or working with some IT equipment.
Work Environment:
Occasional district-wide travel; occasionally, prolonged and irregular hours. Ability to travel locally to Uplift campuses or facilities for occasional site visits, as needed; alternative work assignments are available for interns who are unable to travel.
This internship does not guarantee future employment with Uplift Education. This position is a temporary, paid internship designed to provide educational and professional development opportunities. The intern will work under close supervision and will not replace or perform the essential functions of regular employees.
Starting Salary: $20/hr.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the department on IT hardware, software, and infrastructure projects
- Assist with IT hardware setup, deployment, and inventory tracking under supervision
- Shadow IT, staff during troubleshooting and infrastructure support activities
- Participate in project planning meetings and contribute ideas and observations
- Support documentation of IT processes and procedures
- Perform other duties aligned with project, training, and development objectives
- Education Requirements: High School diploma or currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program related to Information Technology or a related field preferred. IT Certifications relevant to hardware, software, or infrastructure. (CompTIA, etc.)
- Experience Requirements: Prior experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
