Position Title: Registration Specialist
Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus. Employees will be cross trained to the Mineral Point Therapy Center as well for coverage.
Role & Department: Registration Specialist in the Therapy & Wellness Center Department
Hours & Shift: Full-time (1.0 FTE), Day Shift Position, Monday through Friday
Role Responsibilities:
- Performs receptionist, patient registration, secretarial, and clerical tasks such as receiving patients, complete patient records and compile statistics
- Answer telephone calls, take messages, make appointments, prepare daily schedule, type letters, forms and reports and perform ongoing monitoring for performance improvement programs.
- Facilitates accurate and timely scheduling, including, but not limited to coordination of medical tests.
- Perform tasks to maintain department in a clean, orderly and safe manor.
- Other duties as requested by Therapy Center Director.
- Some prior authorization work may be required.
Qualifications:
- Health care professional certification or other demonstrated health care receptionist experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with all contacts following strong positive customer service principles.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple services and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong ability to communicate accurately in writing and verbally.
- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new tasks.
