Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Crew Captain / Manager to lead our pizza restaurant team. This leadership role requires a strong background in food service management, team supervision, and restaurant operations. Great communication skills and leadership a must. This position is 'hands on'.
Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee daily operations of the pizza restaurant, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels using systems such as Toast POS.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage POS systems efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Coordinate shift management, scheduling staff, and ensuring proper coverage.
- Monitor customer service quality to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Assist in food production processes.
- Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, safety procedures, and customer service best practices.
- Support budgeting efforts by controlling costs while maintaining high-quality.
- Participate in interviewing potential new hires and contribute to ongoing training & development initiatives.
- Maintain a professional appearance of the restaurant environment aligned with brand standards.
Qualifications
- Must be certified food manager.
- Proven experience in pizza restaurant management.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with POS; cash handling experience required.
- Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability in team management, training & development, and staff supervision.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
