Position Overview
The Financial Health Associate is a front-line, community-facing role that supports individuals and families on their journey from financial crisis to long-term stability.
This position serves as a connector, educator, and resource navigator, helping individuals access immediate support while also guiding them toward sustainable financial health and economic mobility.
You will work across multiple programs including financial education, safe banking access, tax assistance, and financial counseling-ensuring each interaction leads to meaningful, long-term outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coordination and support of the Bank On coalition, building partnerships with financial institutions and expanding access to safe, affordable banking solutions
- Strengthen collaboration with community partners to increase financial access for unbanked and underbanked populations
- Drive integration across multiple financial health initiatives to ensure services are aligned, efficient, and outcome-focused
- Identify service gaps and work with partners to develop solutions and improve client pathways
- Support and deliver financial education workshops covering budgeting, credit, savings, and banking access
- Ensure education efforts connect participants to actionable resources and next steps
- Build and maintain relationships with nonprofits, service providers, and community organizations
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and outreach efforts
- Support coordination of key programs, including tax assistance (VITA), financial counseling, and benefits access initiatives
- Track participation, referrals, and program outcomes across initiatives
- Contribute to reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required

Bachelor's degree OR 2–5 years of relevant experience in:
- Financial education
- Case management
- Community outreach
- Human services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage diverse populations with empathy and professionalism
- Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
- Experience with financial literacy, banking access, or resource navigation
- Familiarity with nonprofit or community-based programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
