Maintenance Technician – Apartment Community
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the property, completing work orders, preparing vacant units for new residents, and ensuring the community remains safe, clean, and in excellent condition.
Responsibilities:
- Complete resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, painting, and carpentry
- Prepare vacant apartments for move-in readiness
- Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Maintain grounds, common areas, and curb appeal
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
- Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company standards
- Keep accurate records of completed work orders and inventory
- Assist with snow removal and seasonal property upkeep when necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous apartment maintenance or general maintenance experience preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks daily
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- HVAC certification or EPA certification is a plus
- Valid Drivers Liscence & Vehicle
