Status/Hours Per Week: Full Time - 35hrs/week
Pay Range: The expected base pay for the position is $28-$37 per hour and may be increased based on other factors, such as language, certifications, etc.

The WIC Program Nutritionist provides nutrition services and benefits to WIC participants under the supervision of the Senior Nutritionist.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate participants' needs.
- Assess, counsel, and provide nutrition education to WIC participants.
- Provide breastfeeding support and resources to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.
- Assist in the development of educational materials and activities.
- Facilitate group nutrition education activities.
- Schedule appointments, make reminder phone calls and answer participant questions.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work at all WIC sites in Dorchester, Mattapan and Hyde Park.
- Assist in training WIC staff, agency staff, providers and other agencies on nutrition or WIC topics.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other agencies to coordinate and increase quality of care.
- Participate in quality assurance activities.
- Perform other duties as required by the position or as assigned by supervisor.
