Role Overview:
The Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage multiple commercial renovation projects. This includes coordinating with the site teams, ensuring that project goals and timelines are met, and maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, a background in interior finishes, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety, quality, and performance standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire construction process from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination.
- Perform construction site surveys and generate reports.
- Develop project proposals, budget forecasts, and handle client negotiations. Onboard and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Create and update project schedules, and ensure that project timelines are met.
- Monitor project budgets and make necessary adjustments to stay within financial constraints.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work is done in compliance with company standard and safety regulations.
- Provide direction to the site teams, ensuring effective coordination and resource management.
- Facilitate communication between project managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Manage and track the procurement of materials, ensuring timely deliveries to job sites.
- Oversee the invoicing process and manage client escalations when necessary.
Required Background:
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
- Experience managing commercial interior renovation projects.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage subcontractors and teams.
- Ability to manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore).
Preferred Background:
- Experience in commercial interior projects, especially for financial institutions, retail, or large-scale tenant improvements.
- Construction Management degree preferred.
- Experience with OSHA certifications (OSHA 10 and 30).
- Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management software.
