FOH Audio and Production Manager

Position Summary:

Upcoming fall tour is hiring an FOH Audio and Production Manager for an upcoming North American tour playing a wide range of venues from theaters to arenas. Two jobs sit in one seat. The audio half consists of flying a basic line array and wireless system, then mixing the show each night. The production half is advancing the show, upholding the technical standards and daily procedures alongside the Company/Tour Manager, shaping the build with the Stage Manager around whatever the room allows, and keeping the tour's logistics and safety in order. Prior theatrical touring is preferred. An established A1 who has been waiting for a route into production management will find one here: the audio work will feel familiar, and the PM duties come with backing from the rest of the touring team.

Daily Tasks:

· Rigs, installs, and tunes the PA where the room requires it.

· Mixes front of house at each performance.

· Confirms monitor setups are correct and working before doors.

· Covers whatever else the tour needs on the audio side.

· Directs local crew and building staff through load-in and build.

· Advances the day with the venue alongside the Company/Tour Manager, down to labor calls and truck parking.

· Fields technical requests from everyone traveling with the tour.

· Checks stage position and reviews sightlines before the house opens.

· Routes information between the crew and management.

· Reworks the build with the Stage Manager when a venue calls for it.

What you bring to the table:

· Three-plus years as an A1 or PM, or an equivalent position. Experienced A1s who want to pick up the PM role should apply.

· At least a year out on theatrical tours.

· A valid passport, unrestricted for international travel.

· Familiarity with how touring productions run day to day.

· Organized and administratively capable; contracts, correspondence, and ticketing reports are part of the week.

· Sound judgment, comfortable working alone or on a crew, and able to rank competing priorities.

Details:

· Weekly rate begins at $1800, depending on experience.

· Non-union, non-equity engagement.

· Single hotel rooms.

· Travel is paid.

· Positions start mid-September with advancing and runs into 2027, with more dates being added.
