Position Summary
The Electrician Helper supports licensed electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on commercial and industrial job sites. This entry-level role focuses on assisting with tasks, learning trade skills, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist electricians with material handling, tool setup, and job site preparation.
Pull wire, run conduit (EMT/PVC/RMC), and install basic electrical components under supervision.
Help with mounting boxes, panels, and fixtures as directed by the lead electrician.
Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Carry out basic measurements and cuts for conduit and cable; operate hand tools safely.
Support wire terminations and labeling under guidance.
Transport tools, equipment, and materials to designated areas on the job site.
Attend daily safety meetings and communicate effectively with team members.
Assist with cleanup, inventory, and organization of tools and materials at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
6 months of electrical or construction experience preferred; willing to train motivated candidates.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools; ability to learn electrical trade practices.
Ability to read simple instructions and follow directions accurately.
OSHA-10 certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
Valid driver?s license and reliable transportation.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders/lifts, and in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to safety.
