Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Home Inspector to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of residential properties, including structural components, roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units.
- Assess property conditions against industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collect and analyze data related to construction quality, materials, and workmanship.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand building specifications and identify potential issues.
- Document findings through detailed reports, including photographs and written descriptions.
- Communicate inspection results clearly to clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all inspections comply with local codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections performed and follow-up actions required.
- Stay updated on new construction techniques, building codes, and inspection standards.
Requirements
- Valid certification as an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector
- Proven experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related fields such as construction site management or blueprint reading.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of construction management practices and familiarity with contracts related to property development or renovation projects.
- Experience with data collection methods and quality inspection procedures.
- Construction site experience is highly desirable for understanding structural elements and construction processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills to identify potential issues during inspections.
- Ability to communicate findings effectively both verbally and in written reports.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, digital cameras, tablets, or software for documentation purposes. This position is integral to ensuring property safety and quality standards are met while supporting clients through expert inspection services.
