Up With Paper, the largest manufacturer of pop-up greeting cards, has an immediate in-person full-time position for a talented Graphic Designer and Prepress Artist to grow our in-house design team. If you appreciate pop-up greeting cards & stationery, have a precise and detail-oriented eye for design, and have experience creating web and print design for a consumer products company, this might be the right fit for you.
An experienced Graphic Designer that is familiar with creating B2B and B2C graphics for both web and print design with a trend-forward eye will be most highly considered. Experience with typography, creating motion graphics, and illustration is a plus. This candidate will also be responsible for preparing prepress, constructing files, using technical processes, and digitally applying finishes for our products to ensure they are finalized and ready for production.

Required Skills:
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated designer that can work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines. The best candidate must be fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, and WordPress/WooCommerce.
You'll design marketing assets across email, paid social, display ads, and organic social, and build reusable templates for recurring content. Other projects can include catalogs, sell sheets, packaging, and tradeshow materials. Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer & Marketing Manager, you'll translate project goals into strong visuals while maintaining consistency in typography, tone, and imagery across every touchpoint.
Additional Skills/Requirements:
- BFA or Equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in graphic & marketing design, ideally in a consumer brand or agency context
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong portfolio showcasing work across print, email, digital ads, and social media
- Experience designing for email platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or HubSpot
- Solid understanding of ad specs across Meta, Google Display, and other platforms
- Comfortable moving between marketing and creative briefs, and adaptable when priorities shift
- Fluency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to manage workload across multiple projects
- Excellent craftsmanship & attention to detail
- Work under direction of Art Director & Visual Design Manager
- An eye for brand consistency and experience applying brand guidelines to projects
- Design collaboration skills and knowledge of typography
- Assistance with trade show set-up and break-down 2–3x/year
Nice to Have:
- Experience with motion graphics, animated GIFs, or short-form video content for social media
- Background in lifestyle, consumer goods, stationery, gifting, or retail brands
- Comfortable building and/or installing product displays or wall shelving, applying vinyl signage to walls, lifting and moving multiple boxes

Our entire Creative team is housed in a satellite office in New Haven, CT (65 miles north of NYC) inside a charming mid-1800’s converted factory building; our studio is nestled amongst tinkerers and thinkers of all sorts. Our corporate headquarters are in Mason, Ohio
