 Cove Creek Club Maintenance is seeking a seasonal maintenance crew member. As the Golf and Property Crew Member, you will perform routine manual labor related to golf course maintenance. You will also operate small hand-powered equipment and perform work involving larger equipment/machines ( fairway units, triplex mowers, walking mowers, etc.).

Compensation:  $15-18 per hour depending on experience, overtime availability

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to operate equipment safely and correctly, including:
    • String trimmers
    • Edgers
    • Backpack blowers 
    • Walking mowers
  • Maintain fuel and oil levels of equipment required to perform job duties and related supplies. 
  • Return all equipment to the designated location in the maintenance facility 
  • Promptly report any equipment issues. 
  • Assist in project work including, but not limited to: 
    • Planting shrubs and flowers
    • Prepare soil base 
    • Lay sod 
    • Mulching 
    • Painting
  • Safely and properly operate light motorized equipment. 
  • Complete required job duties most efficiently and productively, ensuring a well-groomed golf course and property. 
  • Assist in maintaining a clean environment by picking up trash, branches, etc.  
  • Uphold a reliable and responsible work ethic with the ability to follow verbal and written directions. 
  • Maintaining focus on the job at hand with a sense of ownership in the quality of job performance. 
  • Able to work some weekends and holidays mornings. 
  • Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.
  • Lift, reach, bend, twist, push, pull, squat, grasp, and use arm-hand coordination consistently. 
  • Have the ability to lift 30 pounds occasionally. 
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts (and associated noise levels related to) and outside weather conditions. 

Experience Requirements:

  • A Maryland State Driver’s license is preferred. 
  • Must have reliable transportation 
  • Ability to follow company policy/procedures and guidelines.
