Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Shreveport, La.
Pay Rate: $18 /hr DOE
Day Shift: Mon-Thur, 5:30am - 4pm, Fri, 5:30am - 2pm
Weekend Shift: Fri-Sun, 5:30am-5:30pm
Job Description:
- The Materials Handler is responsible for executing material handling and for movement within the facility in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Issue and transfer parts for production.
- Assist Production Planner and assembly stores whenever required.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or general educational development (GED)
- Excellent problem-solving, verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in supply chain warehousing activities or equivalent roles are preferred.
- 3-5 years of forklift experience.
