Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $18 - $28/hr DOE
Shifts:
Weekday Night: 5pm - 3:30am (Monday - Friday) - $3 shift diff. With some mandatory OT on Friday night - Saturday
Weekend Day: 5am - 5:30pm (Friday - Sunday) - $2.50 shift diff.
Job Summary:
- The Plant Services (Facility) Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on machinery, equipment, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, as well as physical structures.
- This role involves the use of both hand and power tools to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- The technician reports directly to the Plant Services Lead.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs minor maintenance repairs independently.
- Identifies and distinguishes between electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and repairs.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues and recommends appropriate repairs.
- Makes preventative maintenance recommendations based on observations.
- Reads and interprets schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Uses hand tools and power tools proficiently.
- Performs monthly inspections and maintains facility equipment.
- Moves furniture, installs signage, and performs general building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
- Familiar with computer systems used to access work documents and vendor technical information.
- Observes safety regulations and uses proper PPE as required.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies:
- High School Diploma or GED required; one-year technical school or college certificate preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in a maintenance-related field or skilled trades.
- Preferred experience in vehicle maintenance, basic lighting, and mechanical systems.
