A key responsibility will be to drive store traffic and sales growth through proactive community outreach, local partnerships, events, promotions, and social media marketing.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus a strong profit-sharing incentive, with total annual earning potential of $80,000 based on store performance.
Responsibilities:
- Drive store traffic and sales growth through community outreach, local partnerships, events, promotions, and social media marketing.
- Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and staff management to ensure seamless daily functioning.
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to foster a motivated and high-performing retail sales team.
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and employee orientation to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency.
- Oversee purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize profitability and maintain attractive product displays.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, cash handling, and sales management while ensuring accuracy in cashiering procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory management activities including stock replenishment, stocktaking, and inventory control to prevent shrinkage.
- Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and legal requirements.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and store operations.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, and managerial communication.
- Experience with recruiting, training & development of staff, as well as supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping practices, and basic math for financial transactions.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Previous experience in specialty retail, convenience, grocery, or tobacco retail, including operational management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and cash handling, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities such as shift management and budgeting.
