About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU/IMCU team at UP Health System - Marquette. As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention to shape patient journeys every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment to perform plan of care intervention.
- Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
About Our Team:
The ICU has 24 total beds and cares for both ICU and IMCU patient populations with care aide support. This team supports open heart, neuro surg, CRRT programs, and serves as a level 2 trauma center for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Clinical Educator is located on the unit and follows the ECCOs program for orientation.

Requirements:
- State of Michigan RN license
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred)
- BLS-HCP certification
- Handle with Care- Advanced (within 90 days)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 1 year)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (within 1 year)
