Landscape Crew Member

We are a small landscaping company providing services for residential clients in the Chapel Hill, Pittsboro, Durham and Cary areas. We specialize in garden bed design, installation and maintenance using natural practices and organic products. We are looking for a landscaping crew member to join our team. The majority of the work will be manual labor, including weeding, pruning, planting and mulching.

We are looking for someone who is interested in plants and enjoys working outside. The ideal candidate is motivated, responsible and can work independently and as part of a small team. Plant knowledge is a plus but no experience is necessary. We are willing to train anyone with a good attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers

- Maintain garden beds including weeding using hand tools

- Pruning and trimming of trees and shrubs

- Blowing and raking of leaves and brush cleanup

- Mulching

Qualifications:

- No experience required, though knowledge of plants/plant care is a plus

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

-  Reliable transportation to work - must be able to drive between client sites during the workday (typically 1 - 2 sites/day)

- Ability to bend, reach and lift 40 lbs occasionally, push wheelbarrows, and be on your feet most of the day 

- Punctual and reliable

- Good communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 30-45 hours per week
