Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on different strains, edibles, concentrates, and other cannabis products through detailed explanations
- Manage POS systems for accurate sales processing and cash handling
- Upsell products to maximize customer satisfaction and store sales
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Enforce store policies related to age verification, safety, and compliance with local regulations
- Assist with basic store operations, such as cleaning work areas
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or customer service environments is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math is advantageous
- Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail settings are a plus
- Experience in upselling techniques is beneficial
- Bilingual skills can enhance communication with diverse customers
- Strong communication skills, phone etiquette, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently are essential
- Knowledge of cannabis products or related industry experience is a plus, but not required; training will be provided
