Producer

Unreasonable Studios
Detroit, MI Full Time
POSTED ON 6/21/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/18/2026

We are UNR — an award winning, tech-forward, full service creative production company that supports agencies, brands and distributors alike across all media, genres, channels and formats globally at scale.

We are ambitious, growing and shaping the next era of integrated production. We bridge the gap between the entertainment and brand worlds, and are equally respected and acknowledged in both.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Producer to join our team at Unreasonable Studios in Detroit and manage a critical workflow for one of our key clients, a major apparel brand. This role is essential for delivering the high volume of e-commerce product detail page (PDP) photography and videography that fuels the client's online presence.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in agency production and project management, with hands-on experience in stills and video production. You will be the primary operational owner of the entire production cycle—from initial budgeting and production vendor management to on-set execution, post-production management, and final asset delivery.

This role requires exceptional data management skills, as you will be responsible for meticulously tracking hundreds of products and associated data in complex spreadsheets/systems.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Production Management

  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for our external production partner. Provide clear specs for bidding each shoot and ensure their deliverables meet our high standards and technical requirements.
  • Budget Ownership: Create accurate, client-facing estimates and rigorously manage the internal production budget, tracking all costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Shoot Logistics & Execution: Be present on set for each shoot to manage logistics, ensure seamless execution, and troubleshoot any issues in real-time.
  • Scheduling & Workflow: Manage overall production timelines, ensuring all milestones—from pre-production to final delivery—are met efficiently.

Data & Documentation

  • Client Workflow Training: Guide and ensure the client team correctly utilizes and updates the shared shot list systems, including Microsoft Excel as well as Creative Force.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain meticulous product data tracking within complex Microsoft Excel workbooks, ensuring accuracy is maintained across the production process.

Post-Production & Delivery

  • Post-Production Routing: Manage the entire post-production workflow with the production partner, routing batches of images through the appropriate client review and approval stages.
  • Quality Control (QC): Perform thorough quality control checks on all assets (stills and video) before they are presented to the client and delivered for final use.

Client & Internal Collaboration

  • Client Communication: Maintain a professional, client-facing presence while collaborating closely with the Project Director to manage the client team's expectations and feedback.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in the e-commerce production workflow to support scalability and consistent quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Production and/or Project Management, specifically within a creative, marketing, or agency environment.
  • Must be based in Detroit, and attendance in our office 3 days a week
  • Expertise in Stills/E-commerce Production: Demonstrated experience managing professional photography and videography production, preferably in the e-commerce space.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory, including the ability to manage large, complex data sets.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software (e.g., Screendragon, Creative Force, or similar platforms).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Work Arrangement: Must be willing to work in the Detroit office at least three (3) days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience managing high-volume product photography/video production for an apparel or retail brand.
  • Familiarity with the specifics of Product Detail Page (PDP) asset requirements.
