Duties
- Fill dumplings with a variety of ingredients, maintaining consistency and adhering to recipe specifications
- Use appropriate folding and sealing techniques to ensure dumplings are securely closed and retain filling during cooking
- Operate cooking equipment such as steamers, boiling pots, and frying stations safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the preparation area in compliance with safety protocols
- Follow manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent product quality
- Assist in packaging finished dumplings for delivery or storage, ensuring proper handling and labeling
- Handle materials safely, including raw ingredients and packaging supplies, utilizing proper warehouse operations procedures
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment such as steamers or mixers promptly to minimize downtime
- Adhere strictly to safety standards in production environments, including heavy lifting techniques and safety protocol adherence
Skills
- Proven experience in dumpling making or similar food preparation roles within a manufacturing or commercial kitchen setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to industrial kitchen equipment and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with manufacturing facility operations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed recipes or instructions precisely
- Knowledge of packaging equipment operation and materials handling processes within a manufacturing environment
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and adjusting recipes as needed
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus but not mandatory
- Understanding of safety standards in production environments, including GMP compliance and safety protocol adherence
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during ingredient handling or packaging tasks
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills for industrial equipment used in food production processes
