Will conduct experiments investigating mechanisms by which chronic hypoxia reduces pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cell membrane cholesterol, resulting in increased vasoconstrictor reactivity and cell proliferation, and how these processes contribute to pulmonary hypertension.
Assist the PI in supervision of laboratory personnel. Analyze data, prepare manuscripts for publication, participate in preparation and submission of grant applications, and present research at national meetings.
